The Orchestra Pit
Scaledown #103
(Friday 10th October)

Hot on the heels of September comes the unusually early OCTOBER scaledown which arrives THIS FRIDAY. This late notice missive requests your impulsive attendance. It is, indeed, for your own good as the acts are, as always, succulent and moist as autumn's fine mist. Acts are as follows and in no particular order:

BETTINA SCHROEDER AND JAMES A. SMITH - Enchanting, the spirIt of change, the metaphysical wit of Bettina, accompanied on word by James.

JOHN RILEY - 'Extracts' of narrative from a storyteller, intelligent archivist, film historian .... he used to work with Jude for the British Universities' Film and Video Council. Once upon a time.

STUART TURNER AND THE FLAT EARTH SOCIETY - Crazy, and all the way from the Medway. Get their marvellous record 'The Art and Science of Phrenology' from the table of ware. Where? The table by the door in the superbia upstairs room of the King and Queen

ANUKITA KANN -A lady whose mysterious charm has spooked us all - welcome to Scaledown lovely, lilting Anukita, so special.

MINDLOBSTER - A very warm welcome back to scaledown as we hear the return of 'The hardest working helmet in showbusiness'.

PETE EVANS - Another artist from the 'warm welcome return to scaledown department'

SEBASTIAN HANDLEY - Returning from the wilds, uke in his sweaty hands, ghetto blaster balanced on his thin but sturdy shoulders, ready to battle off a horde of jellyfish with his comical ditties and laser-sharp wit.
