The Orchestra Pit
presents
Scaledown #105
(Friday 30th January 2015)

We open up the scaledown box for 2015 and see what is inside. A veritable selection of musical wonderment no doubt welcomes us and now we show you our beautiful box for you to delve into, plucking out the gems which are as follows and in no particular order:

ED DOWIE - Ed is the purveyor of beautiful atmospheric music that sparkles. He last sparkled the scaledown room in July 2014 and so, for the opening of the new scaledown season, Mr Dowie is returning to sprinkle some music tinsel at the King and Queen..

THE HAPPY COUPLE - A beautiful meditation on jaw harp and acoustic strings. The Happy Couple return once again to mesmerise the scaledown family.

COS CHAPMAN - is it a box of tricks, a bag of electrical appliances, or something vaguely conventional? the odds are stacked against the latter, as Cos makes a long overdue return to K&Q towers.

THOM DRIVER - Thom takes a break from working on the follow up to Piper's Son's 2013 album 'The Roar From Behind' to deliver some fine solo fare... "thoughtful, intelligent, adult pop music, carefully constructed which for all its quirkiness sounds like it comes from the heart.".

CATRINEL DORAN and GRAHAME PAINTING - Singer of Byzantine ways and myths joins with the experimenalist cello and guitar playing Painting. Innovative Romanian song with liturgical roots. Attention. Meditate. The otherworld is about to open before you.

GALE BURNS - Poet, curator and performer/writer, Gale Burns is no longer hiding his literary light and stepping onto the Scaledown carpet. We are pleased to welcome him and his new pamphlet. He brings the magic of words to tingle our musical bower.
