The thirty second Scaledown excursion unfolded in a manner not unlike this:
Mark and Dan - Singing.
Joe Williamson and The Distractions - Making a welcome return, renowned free improviser of the bass Williams brings along his gentle pop orientated Distractions (featuring stalwarts of the free improv circuit Alex Ward on guitar and Paul May on drums).
Don Tempi - Will it be mushrooms? Fried onion rings? You'll have to wait and see, as Don returns to Scaledown with his individual take on early 80s advertising jingles.
David Gunn - Expect traditional and original folk/blues songs from this London based formerly Borders-dwelling finger-picking guitarist.
Misha Marks - Exploring the sounds of nylon string guitar, New Zealand born Misha Marks' free improvised playing is atmospheric and inspiring
(Half of) Blueflint - Deborah Arnott is one half of the banjo duo Blueflint. Their material is heavily influenced by Bluegrass and American Old-time music. They subtly intertwine the three-finger picking and clawhammer styles of banjo playing to accompany smooth vocals and harmonies inoriginal songs and ballads of love, loss and revenge.
